Adobe’s software can help individuals and businesses reduce their environmental impacts when used with the goal of reducing printing and paper use. For example, CEO of the U.S. Green Building Council, Rick Fedrizzi, states that 15,000-20,000 pieces of paper are saved per construction project by using Adobe’s applications. Deutsche Post has praised the Adobe-created application that allows customers to download postage to their computers, thus reducing the number of trips to the post office. Although Adobe provides several examples of its products’ ability to reduce an end-user’s environmental impacts, Portfolio 21 believes the company can further leverage its sustainability-based market opportunities. We firmly believe in the ecological advantages of Adobe’s technologies and have asked the company to highlight the embedded environmental opportunities within its business strategy.
